Re: [ST] New model rumors

Well, there are a lot of unstated "ifs" in this. I'd expect a perimeter
frame similar to the ST and the lower COG that the ST has vs. the
existing Trophy for one thing.

The existing Trophy is far too top-heavy for my tastes. Despite that it
handles reasonbly well although not to the same limits that the ST does.
However ... I don't push the ST anywhere near its limits. In fact, I
ride well within the handling limits of the Trophy 1200. How do I know
this? In the past few weeks I've done two rides where I followed a
Trophy 1200.

I don't expect a 955-based Trophy to "touch the ST" as you put it. For
me that isn't a problem -- my riding style is more relaxed, not trying
to push the limits. And I'd sure like a more relaxed seating position.

Of course, all this is based on the thought that I wouldn't buy until
the 2nd model year anyway. So I'd be another few years older and
looking for my next bike that would be scheduled to take me well into my
50's. What does age have to do with it? Nothing directly, but I'm
anticipating the type of riding I am thinking of doing as I have more
time to devote to it: more long distance touring with SWMBO at my side
without giving up some spirited riding.
