Anger management suggestions? A construction crew tipped my
baby >sniff<

I guess it had to happen eventually. Big city, lots of people... but that
was hardly any consolation as I was taking the subway to work today.
Yesterday, at 6 AM, I park my bike across the street from work (on 8th
between Howard and Folsom in San Francisco) - same place I always park, in
designated motorcycle parking. At 10:00 I emerge to see that a construction
crew has moved into the vicinity of my bike and begun digging up the street.
Uncomfortable with large equipment so close to my mount, I walked over to
let them know I'd be getting the bike out of their was in a few minutes. As
I approached, I noticed that someone had taken the liberty of moving the
bike out of their way without my intervention - the bike's rear tire had
been lifted onto the curb.
As the right-hand side of the bike came into view, the mirror was the first
thing I noticed - the glass was shattered. My eyes immediately fell on the
touch-down points: two brothers' can, gouged. front right fairing, gashed.
bar weight, bent. brake lever, hosed. turn signal, destroyed (although
they did take care to set the lens back onto the mount so that it almost
looked like it was intact). This was a Perfect '00 eclipse blue RS with
4400 miles. Sigh.
It's at Munroe now, haven't heard the estimate yet. No witnesses to peg the
construction crew as the actual culprits, and of course they deny everything
(despite some signs I posted offering a reward). Ugh. Now I've got to eat
my $500 deductible instead of food for the next week.
Rahghgrhghrhgrhghghghh!
