Sorry to hear about your misforune, Dave. Regarding yuour insurance offer,
£4,000 sounds low, but I doubt if you'd get £5,500. How much did you pay for
it? I bought mine in April '01 (and I think it is an '01 model) for £5999,
and I understand Lilley's had some for £5600 round about then. Given that
that the '02 model (allegedly) has a significant power hike, the market
value of pre-'02 models has just dropped (even though you can't get them in
our favourite colour any more!). Have you tries looking through the ads in
MCN to find a similar one? If I were to do the unthinkable, I doubt if I'd
get more than £4,500 for mine.
