Hi Mort,

I admit I don't use my rear breaks too much but I actually
changed mine for the first time at my 50000 Km. (31K miles)
service. And, there was still some wear on them. Front pads
last me an average of about 10K miles.
Could be that yours are in constant contact with the disc
causing the extensive heating and wear.
