RS instr. cluster

can you give details on this procedure for opening the cluster?  special
tools?

it's been so long since i've been on the damn bike that i forget what
the "standard" colors for those lenses is, but i recall that they seemed
wrong to me, too.

in addition, i'd be interested in adding remote buttons for LCD
display selection/reset.
