regarding the RS mirrors -- it sure looks like it should be possible
to fabricate some standoffs, to set them out an extra inch or so from
the fairing.  the studs on the mirrors would have to fasten to the
standoffs, and the standoffs would need their own studs to fasten to
the fairing.  has anyone considered or tried this?  any suggestions
on what one might use to mock them up with?  i guess wood would be a
good first shot at it.
