Why in the world would any one want to use a 'solvent' when cleaning a
plastic motorcycle?

I'll tell you, the last thing I'd like is the polymers to decide it's a
good time to practice de-cohesion. Nothing worse than a puddle of
plastic slime and aluminum oxide where the bike used to sit.
