Mason Dixon

Hello Andrea and fellow Disgusters:
The Mason-Dixon line is the line that defines the borders of the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. It was named after the two principle surveyors who laid this border line and ended a dispute between the mentioned states. The actual border line is marked with special stones, (some original exist from the late 18th Century) to this date. The quality of this survey is remarkable because it is so accurate, done before GPS, aerial photography, etc.
The Mason Dixon line is often used as the dividing line between the Northern and Southern states.
	Any further questions?
