Tyres for an RS?

I'm now up to 6,400 miles on the RS, and the (BT020) front tyre is just
about dead. In fact I should really have ditched it at the 6,000 service.
The rear is still OK because it only went on at about 3,000 miles, to
replace the first one which had had two punctures. It's had a puncture of
it's own since, plugged apparently OK, but I'll probably be replacing both
at the same time.

My question, of course, is what to go with? The BT020s are a pretty good
all-round tyre, but I don't think they're quite as good for my riding style
as the Pirelli Dragon GTS I have previously happily run with, on several
different bikes. Also 3 punctures in 6,000 miles has shaken my confidence in
them.

I know the Dragons suit me very well, so at the moment they're my first
choice, but I ought to at least consider others, and at the moment my
shortlist is:

Metzeler - Front MEZ3, Rear MEZ4
Pirelli - Dragon GTS
Dunlop - D205
Avon - Azaro II, Front AV35, Rear AV36

The most serious contenders are the new Avons, which I've heard nothing but
good about. Anyone know different? Has anyone tried them yet on the RS? I'm
also quite tempted by the MEZ3/4 combination, which I've heard folk rave
about on other bikes. My question about them is what mileage I might expect.
Anyone tried them on the RS yet? And I know nothing at all about the
Dunlops, which I haven't seen much about in the UK. As usual I want superb
grip AND high mileage AND low cost!

All comments appreciated, good and bad.
