I agree Eric.  As I am apparently one of the few on the ST list that
actually owns a Daytona (I have a '00 Daytona purchased last July, in that
wonderful Tornado RED), I was very interested to see what the new one looked
like.  The increase in horsepower and decrease in weight is a very good
move, that alone would have me seriously look at purchasing a newer Daytona.
That said however, I  like the single side swingarm, the "fake" air scoops
on the back, the tail and cowling treatment, and the analog guages of my
current bike.  I think the front of the new Daytona is nice, and despite
somewhat of a "hoot owl" or "Kenny" look, to me it says "Triumph" in its
style because it looks like a faired Speed Triple.

Now if Triumph could only make the Daytona comfortable enough to ride all
day for people who over 40.
