i don't think anyone has mentioned this in this thread yet, but you
may have found it in the archive:  when it didn't start, did you always
turn the ignition off completely, and then try again after turning it
back on?  there have been reports of non-starts that were cleared up
by a "reset" like this.  (as opposed to just pushing the starter button
over and over, as one would with a traditional bike.)
