it would be interesting to see some documentation on that. a properly
administered unix box should be fairly immune to viruses.

yes, safe computing.

this is true for MS users, but again for the most part a properly
administered unix box should be fairly safe, you just have to keep
an eye one dangling ports.  But I will admit it is doubtful than
any home user is going to put together the resources to protect
themselves from a DOS attack. If someone takes down my service, it
is a PITA, but I really on care about loss of data.
