Congratulations!  I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Breakin is frustrating, and the first 100 miles are a real PITA.  But it
is worth it.

For best long-term results make those first 100 miles even more painful
by doing them as 3 (or more) full warmup / cool-down cycles.  That is,
ride 30-35 miles then stop and wait for the engine to completely cool
down.  Repeat this 2 more times, or more if the rides were shorter.

After the first hundred miles you can ride longer (and faster).  Just
remember to vary the engine revs.
