Thanks very much for all the advice everyone!  I went ahead and ordered the
truck online yesterday (we'll see how long it takes them to get me
one...).  I'm going to get a Ramp Masters curved motorcycle ramp set, and I
think the best solution for loading the gate will be to use a 1" plywood
sheet to distribute the load evenly over the gate & bed if it won't fit in
the bed diagonally or if I have more than one bike in the bed.
