I removed the lowers only (because of rh melting) and have ridden about 6000
mi. this way due to a lot of dealer problems. Rude Dog noticed that the
centers were starting to spread apart, so I've since drilled a cuppla holes
at the front and installed a wire tie to hold them together at the pin. I
still want the fairing replacement from the factory (if I ever sell her),
but am happy with the circulation it affords for 90-100+ temps I deal with.
Don't have any experience with taking the middles out of the equation.
