We all ride bikes knowing that we are vulnerable.  Still, we ride.

Ending your ride wouldn't change the fact that the other rider died and it
doesn't mean you don't care.  I can't speak for the rider who died but,
speaking for myself, I would want others to keep riding, but riding within
reasonable limits.
