Re: [ST] Deer Season

I haven't hunted deer for 20 years--I just don't like shooting something that close to a big dog--but I certainly wish those who do hunt all the luck in the world. I hit one of the miserable vermin some years back. They are the single most unpredictable aspect of riding.

Unfortunately, the people who continue to hunt seem to really suck at it. I see more deer now than I ever have, and I spent the first 30 years of my life in northwest Minnesota, where there are more deer than probably anyplace on the planet. My dad sees herds of up to 100 head of deer near his farm on a regular basis. I also notice more deer in urban areas. On Sunday I saw a dead deer along I94 in North Minneapolis.

Do the hunters out there need some lessons in marksmanship? I used to be pretty good, and could probably give them some pointers.

Forget that bleeding heart pro deer propaganda in "Bambi." DEATH TO THE HOOF RATS!
