That's a great analogy.
A doe, looking after her fawn, ran square into me running thru Bouquet
Canyon a few years ago. Luckily I was able to slow enough and anticipate her
movement, so I slammed into the animal from the left side like a linebacker.
She left hair all up my left side and bounced her nose off my helmet.
1 week later I was blasting thru Sherman Pass and a bear cub confronted me
going north. All braking capabilities were at max, however, the thought of
huge mommy coming over the road immediately after junior set my throttle
hand to max. No one was injured and mommy never materialized.
