True, but ...

I'll determine that in the next few weeks but given the 3-hour tour I
took Saturday morning I'm confident that I will be able to manage the
Rallye.

However I can only spare one day each way to get to and from the Rallye;
a distance of 650+ miles in each direction. Trying to do that in a
single day in combination with the two days at the Rallye might be
asking too much. I know how I was last year when I rode to the Rallye
in 1.5 days and back in a single day.

If I could spare a full 2 days to each direction there would be no
question that I'd ride to, from and at the Rallye!.

I haven't taken any pain killers in over 4 weeks (for my hand -- I now
have stitches in my leg but that's something else). Thankfully it
wasn't my throttle hand but my clutch hand that was hurt. The first
time I rode after the cast came off 3 weeks ago I could handle the
clutch OK but the twist and reach to hit the turn indicators was agony
(remember it was my left thumb that was most seriously injured).

:-) Maybe I'll do the Hardley trick and park the truck some 20 miles
away then ride the rest of the way in. ;-)
