Re: [ST] Re: Futura

Ok, ya'll have finally baited me. Motorcycles are a personal thing. I'm not
telling anyone they should buy a Futura or even like one, ride it, make your
own call. As far as a Buell goes, guess since I've owned 2 and ridden one
across the states 2 up and personally suffered through all of the failures
they issued recalls for. I would still say if the bike was even close to
reliable, I would much prefer one of those, (S3T) over the Triumph. The
Triumph is a great reliable do it all motorcycle, I think the best on the
market right now (maybe the Aprilia), but, FOR ME, it is about as exciting
as watching grass grow. I bought it realizing that, same as I bought a Honda
ST1100 10 years ago with the same thought. Sometimes you just need a bike
that will get you from here to there, after the Buell #1 and a Superhawk, I
needed one. Triumph designed a better VFR in my opinion, bags, heated grips,
pipe, hugger,............but I'll never look back 10 years from now and wish
I still had it. The Buell on the other hand, as much as I hate it for it's
total lack of reliability, never ever fails to put a smile in my hat
whenever I ride it. If you want an appliance (not a bad thing) buy a Sprint
ST (or one of those VFR thingies). You guys are gettin so booooring, the
Buell list is NEVER boring, always emotion, good and bad. There, that oughta
fire you up, and I'll put money on motorcyclist not picking the ST if
someone wants to make a friendly wager. That will probably get the rest of
you crying and whineing about something for a while. Buy what you like, ride
what is fun for you, thats what this whole thing is about. If we all liked
and wanted the same thing.......then we would all be complaining about our
Buells.

Paul;-)
