[ST] Rear Brake

"Well I guess if you get your info from BordersNobleStarbucksRodeoDrive
places you must be right"

Actually, the information I have, I got from Freddie Spencer and Keith
Code. Ever ask yourself why your bike has two 12.5" brakes on the front
and one 10" brake on the rear. Must be to add unsprung weight to the
front to balance the locked rear tire when carrying to much entry speed
into a corner,eh? I really don't want to turn this into a flame war but
IMHO the technique you describe is not only counter to the way modern
motorcycles designed to work, but dangerous as well. Right foot rear
wheel braking is one the most important cage related driving skills to
UNLEARN when riding a bike. Some day you'll be carrying too much speed
into a corner only to find your path blocked, at which point chances
are, by reflex, you'll paint a nice black stripe right into the hospital
or the morgue. Having not read the Motorcyclist, which I will BTW, I
can't comment on it, but if I'm not mistaken, the technique of "backing
a bike into a corner" involves front braking, THROTTLE, and opposite
lock, not rear braking.
