hmm, how about the use of a impact gun? One the one hand it could
be touch on the chain. One the other hand if there is enough inertia
in the sprocket and counter shaft then very little of the energy
will be absorbed by the chain. Anyway, full throttle still probably
punishes the chain more.

Any thoughts?
