Nick,
Where do you get the die to do the opposite direction threads? Or am I
looking at this wrong? I thought about making one myself as I moved the
shifter down ALOT and think I am about out of threads. Is a reverse die a
common tool I can pick up at a sears or do I need to know a secret hand
shake?

David,
The ball joints are still stock, but I fabricated the new threaded stainless
shaft myself. The other advantage to the stainless vs. aluminum is I no
longer worry about stripping the threads when tightening the lock nuts down.
I could make a few more if anyone else is interested, just email me off
list.
