ST speedometers are typically 10% optimistic. Knowing that it is easy
to figure in your head your (approximate) true speed (certainly closer
than the indicated) and how much faster you can go.
Or, on a highway posted at 75mph you'll never get pulled over for doing
an indicated 83 ... unless it is because you are a hazard to the even
faster moving cages!
