[ST] Tea bags and stuff

Funny, I used to find tea bags hung off my handlebars.
Got to love those HD
people.

Consider yourself to have gotten off lightly, my man.
After all, there are far worse places to find a tea
bag (virgin or used) secreted about the person of your
motorcycle. Or, come to that, far worse objects to
find on your handlebars (virgin or used, likewise).
Need I say more?

Regarding the thread about stuff in pockets - having
seen the damage done by a mobile in an inside pocket
(not mine, luckily)I now put everything in my tank
bag. I used to ride with a rucksack until I heard
about what they (or their contents) can do to you in a
prang. The joke about the old guy who caught his
braces (suspenders) on the wing mirror comes to mind.
And yet they seem to be a highly touted m/c fashion
item here in UK. Oh, yes, and tank bags are dead
handy for carrying the remote for the company car park
door.

And that's another thing - comparative affluence. Self
opening garages (or even garages at all!), jackets for
$140 ... and Sprints for $8,499! That's about the
list price in sterling!(=$11,900) Perhaps if y'all
paid sterling equivalent prices, you might get better
service over there? The impression I am getting from
the list is that you guys in the US aren't getting the
same QOS as we get in the UK. And yet you are
generally a lot more litigious, have more advanced
consumer protection laws and more efficient markets
than we do. So what's that about, then? Maybe our
guys, including, or especially Jack Lilley, do what
they do for love and money, and US dealers do it just
for money. Whatever, it seems a real shame that a lot
of you aren't getting the kind of support the bikes
deserve. Maybe something for ToA to take up?
