[ST] Re: Grace's really bad day

Marc...so sorry about Grace's accident...hopefully she and you will
recover.
I know how you feel when a loved one is hurt...my wife and I were hit by
an 87 year old man in a HUGE Chevy Suburban in 1996..the old man ran a
red light and T-Boned us on the left side...after coming to a stop,
still with the bike, I realized I was pretty badly hurt and tried to
crawl back to where my wife was lying in the intersection...Jesus, just
writing this makes my stomach flip over and chills run down my back. Its
something I will always feel responsible for even though I was not at
fault...placing blame doesn't mean crap when loved ones are hurt.
After my latest "OFF" in North Carolina, the first thing I thought when
I came to a stop was thank God my wife was not with me this time. She is
so strong! I don't know if I could ever ride as a passenger after what
we went through in 1996, but she insisted that we continue to ride
together afterwards.
Be strong, hang in there and good luck!
