Not a warranty problem.  In the specs section of the manual, it clearly
states for oil requirements: Mobil 4T __or similar__.  (from memory, not an
exact quote).

If you really want to get into the details of what oil is best, go to
Motorcycle Consumer News website, and order the back issue with their latest
oil test. (I think it was Oct or Nov 2000).  IIRC, both regular Mobil 1, and
Mobil 1 MX4t (motorcycle specific) rated pretty highly. 

seems like the oil thread is back ... right on schedule ;-)
