Re: [ST] Engine vibration

Hi Eric.

I've only had my 01' ST for about a little over a month, but after 1200 side
road miles, I think what your hearing is just the sweet sound of Triumph! :)

I know EXACTLY the sound your talking about under 3000 RPM. When I'm
riding, I don't let it get any lower than 3K usually. The bike seems
'happier' at this RPM. As someone put it on this list, "The bike sounds
like nails rattling around the engine at idle, but once the RPMs build, it
makes a beautiful roar.", or something to that effect.

My previous bikes were a Katana and Ninja, so I know how it might sound
strange at first when your used to quiet inline 4's. I prefer the sweet
sound of the triple ANY DAY now. :) My old 01' R1 you ask? What was that?
:P
