    Thanks for the quick response to my inquiry.  I will probably just run
the emap in battery mode, as I have been using rechargeable cells in that,
so I'm not too concerned about battery life, although it is quite power
hungry.  I use it in my car with the standard power cord I purchased with
the unit, it mounts in a slick articulated bracket on the dash. For the
bike, I have a bracket made by RAM, which attaches to the two hex heads
that hold the left hand clutch lever assembly to the bars.I will have to
convert the male plug on an escort to the BMW male plug to run the
detector, or I'm wondering if I should just replace the actual receptacle
on the bike w/the appropriate size, I know the local marine supply dealer
has a waterproof unit that should work, my concern is fitting it into the
rather narrow space available...
