Lisa,

Joe Rocket makes a mesh jacket with armor.  An acquaintence of mine has one and had an accident recently while wearing it.  He was going about 45 at the time.  He's uninjured and the jacket did hold up relatively well. it has some holes but nothing major.  At $130.00 for the jacket (price at dealership) I'd say it's a pretty good buy.  And according to the acquaintence it's very comfortable.
