Re: [ST] ear plugs and autocom?

Unfortunately I'm slightly hard of hearing at middle frequencies (-20%) so I
am not the best of guinea pigs. I have to have the TV in the lounge up
fairly high at home. I find the autocom volume is ordinarily fine for me up
to about 80mph after that it gets lost in the wind noise of my helmet unless
the users shout. I have worn earplugs with the autocom but they cut the
useability of the set for me right down. I've recently fitted their extra
lead and switch especially for when you wear earplugs that allows you to
toggle the volume up further from the default quieter setting. This switch
I have attached to the barrel of my ignition switch as there was not enough
room on the handlebar. When I next get a pillion on board (I'll give it a
whirl). Might not be for a few weeks yet though as I'm away quite a bit at
the moment.
