I have had the Datatool Veto on my 99 ST since June '99 and had problems
with it twice - both were due to radio interference, so that the alarm
couldn't be disarmed. Both times I solved it by pushing the bike a few
metres, behind a building to shield it from the transmitter. The first time
it took me a few phone calls until Datatool explained the problem.

It helps to make sure you have fresh batteries in the remote control as
well, to make the remote control radio signal stronger.
