I don't know this for sure but I would surmise that the WSB track are much
tighter overall courses.  The tighter course favors the twins.  They can get
more power to the ground more quickly while exiting a turn.  Where the twins
suffer though the fours shine and that  is on the long straights.

All the bikes are fairly evenly matched from a horsepower standpoint.  The
twins get it from greater torque and the fours get it from higher revs.  A
good example is the twins do quite well at Laguna Seca but tend to suffer at
Daytona.

As always money and rider skills are enourmous elements but those aside
check my theory and see if you agree.
