[ST] New Tune
- Subject: [ST] New Tune

Hi,
I had the latest tune installed on my ST recently (14K miles). No other
mechanical changes at the time. As part of the tune they check the CO,
which turned out to be high at 6%, which hopefully explains my worse
mileage since the 12K service. This was my main reason for requesting
the new tune.
Unfortunately the dealer still doesn't get any info from Triumph about
what has changed in each tune, which I find frustrating. Surely Triumph
must know that unlike most car drivers, most bikers take an active
interest in changes and improvements to their bikes, and would like to
know the details of changes in a tune.
Anyway, from my initial observations it seems to offer a crisper, or
should that be smoother throttle response i.e. twisting the throttle
gives a more immediate engine response. Of course this perceived
difference could be purely psychological- just like how some days things
seem to flow real smoothly and others are not quite so goo.
Anyone else have any subjective opinions ,or even better, objective data
on the new tune ?
Antony
Scotland - still cold, but at least the days are longer.
