[ST] Ouch - dropped my ST

Well, it happened sooner rather than later - low sided my red ST in a hairpin turn
when I hit dirt - just poor technique on my part. Given the astronomical cost of
body panels (front left cowl, left belly pan, left fairing, left pannier), I'm going
to try to patch and paint myself.
Any advice on gluing cracks in the panels - what kind of plastic is it? I would
assume I'll try to glue patches to the inside of the affected panels.
Any advice on repainting (steps? clear coat?)
What a bummer.
