Paul, Steve,
The earliest reference I have to the phenomenon (in a scientific sense) is:
"Motorcycle Handling Performance for Obstacle Avoidance", Yoshinori Watanabe
& Keigo Yoshida, Honda R&D Co. Ltd., US DoT Technical Paper 73033, 1973.
However, I've been singularly unsuccessful in getting hold of it. Has anyone
ever seen or read this, or is able to give me a URL? I've seen summery
excerpts in other publications, but would like to read the real thing
(unless it's in Japanese).
Regards,
