thanks for the clutch cable tips yesterday, folks.  encouraged by
others' use of the ST cable along with risers, and the tip regarding
routing it behind the ignition switch, i gave it another shot last
night.  i think it'll be fine.  it even looks better than before,
due to the downward curve right at the top that the RS cable didn't
have.
