[ST] Engine Malfunction Update

Just a report on my mysterious ST malfunction from my Sunday ride. The
mechanics at Echo Cycle checked the computer of the bike and their readings
indicated it should have been working. Removed my computer and placed it in
another bike and it still would not function. Triumph America has asked for
my computer to be sent to them for testing because, according to the Triumph
technicians, this is a rare case. They have salvaged a computer from another
bike and I will be leaving tomorrow for our trip to southeastern B.C. My
only problem now is my low fuel light won't shut off and my fuel guage is
reading completely empty. I had my fuel sender replaced in October 2000 and
the Echo staff believe their may have been another recall since that time. I
read my list mail regularly and don't remember another recall on the fuel
senders since my replacement was installed in October. If I find out
anything more from Triumph on the computer I will report back. There are 16
bikes on the trip (primarily Triumphs; 4 STs included) and I will let you
know how the trip goes.
