[ST] RE: (ST) PIAA Light Installation

For the PIAA red and white "hot" (relay trigger) lead - if you tap into the
red and black wire that exits the left hand handlebar switch housing (I
tapped in under the fork yoke) you can set the light up to come on with main
beam only. The PIAA switch then gives you two options - not on at all, or
on with high beam only. The red and black wire goes from the switch housing
to the main beam indicator light on the dash panel.

If you look carefully, you will also find that the bulb reflector is in fact
directional, giving a shaped light path. The lights are designed to be used
with the letter PIAA horizontal to the ground. If you want to be picky and
maximize the light pattern when mounting them sideways on the forks, you nee
to remove the bulbs and grind away a small notch type of thing in the
housing to allow correct bulb orientation. If you don't do that, the light
pattern will be spread up and down, as opposed to side to side.
