K&N air filters

Has anyone put a K&N filter in recently, and what does it intail.  Also
what filter would I need to order.

My ST is going in for the 12k service this week, so I wanted the dealer to
do it while they have the tank off.

Does any one have any recommendations that I have the dealer do above and
beyond the tune-up.
