 From what I remember of the discussions on the T5 list, the seal around 
the outside of the element did not seat properly allowing contaminants that 
would normally be trapped in the filter to bypass the element all together.

If you live in an area prone to dust or sand (like me in Florida) I would 
consider having it changed or apply an additional sealant around the gasket.
