Rear lights lose

My 'teething' problems continue........
Thank gawd I actually did a daily check today as I discovered that both 
bulbs on the rear lights were not working. A check revealed that both 
bulb-holding assemblies had fallen apart! Hence both bulbs were not making 
proper contact. OK now, but I'm a little worried that I may have poorly 
manufactured units. Any one else had this experience of them working lose?
Yours, happy he didn't run in to PC Plod- cos how they *love* an excuse 
like that to pull you over,
