[ST] New Tank Bag

Paul-I have (or have had) 4 different tank bags, both factory and after
market, on several bikes and IMHO nothing comes close to the stock
Triumph tank bag. Features I really like are a) large zippers make it
easy to use with gloves on. b) small pockets fore and aft are great for
keys, cell phone, garage door openers, etc. c) built in rain cover
(actually, the jury is still out on that one. Nice to always have it,
space could be used for something else when it's absolutely not going to
rain.) d) Fully packed, it's a nice pillow for my chest when I'm
traveling and my back gets a little tired. If you have bar risers this
might not work for you. Also, the map pocket is not a full 8X10 (I don't
know of a MP that is,) but it will hold a standard map so that two
panels are showing (many won't). My next door neighbor used to be a MC
gear After market Distributor and he told me he had a line on a guy who
made oversized pockets. When he gets this info for me I'll post it.

BTW, I opted out of the hard bags because of their expense. (And people
complain that BMW hard bags are expensive!) On my recent trip, I used
the Triumph Throw Over Panniers and they were GREAT. Better than any
after market soft bags I've ever used, and with the (attached as well,
see comments above) rain covers, were absolutely waterproof.
