Rich,

RI, Mass, I knew it was one of those states in the upper right corner of the map. It was pretty close to RI though, I think.

On the (lack) of illumination for the switch for the heated grips. It is odd that the center of the switch doesn't light up. What I did though was to get a small LED from Radio Shack, and mount it in a small drilled hole just above the
switch. Hook it up between either the high or low output terminal against the ground terminal, and Viola! a nice little light to monitor when the switch is on. Originally I wanted to get fancy, and have two diode with different color lights
for the hi and low settings, however, that won't work, as the switch shuts electricity through either a low or high resistance wire, both of which re-join on their way to the grips, so it winds up that the diode lights when in either
position. I am sure those less electrically, not to mention geographically, challenged, will know how to do this better, but is worked for me. I didn't even solder in the LED wires, just slip them in with the terminal blades when
re-connecting the wires to the switch, and they hold tightly.
