Re: [ST] Battery Tender

I believe that this pretty much normal operation for the Bettery Tender
Plus. There is circuitry in the Battery Tender that is not found in the
average battery charger. When the Tender is first connected to a battery it
goes through a series of charging cycles - even on a fully charged battery.
I have noticed that on my 2000 Harley when I come back from a ride and
connect the Tender, the red light comes on steady and the green light starts
flashing after about 1 to 2 minutes. However, when I connect the same
Tender to my Sprint after a ride, the red light comes on, but it takes
another 10 or 15 minutes before the green light starts flashing. I'm not
sure why this is, but it may have something to do with the charging systems
on the bikes, and the state of charge the battery is in after rides of
varying lengths.
