So I'm about to make chili out of the leftover turkey, and I realize that
I've made essentially the same meal for the last two years. Everyone seems
to like it a lot, but I think I'm falling into a culinary rut. Time to
think about something different for next year.
So what did people cook??
Me:
Turkey with garlic, rosemary, and kosher salt glaze (some garlic under the
skin in the breast and thigh) 18# bird for ten adults two kids;
Gravy w/pan drippings, grilled maui onions, butter roux, and vodka
Hot Italian sausage, maui onion, apple, and pecan stuffing
Sweet potato gratin with apricot & brandy glaze
Mashed potatoes*
Salad
Pecan pie*
Pumpkin Pie*
*made by brother's g.f. - pecan pie ROCKED...I'm getting the recipe.
Looking forward to something new next year...
