[ST] re: Cornering

You get the whole story in the beginning MSF class, but most don't realize it:
LOOK, LEAN, and ROLL !

LOOK into the turn before entering it.
LEAN into it.
ROLL on the throttle smoothly throughout the turn.

They teach the same stuff at track school, but in much more detail and,
thankfully, with track coaches to point out how you're doin' it wrong. But
that's it, folks: look, lean, and roll.
If you want more explanation of why and how and how much and all that
other stuff to satisfy yourself, read Keith Code's "Twist of the Wrist, vol
II". Of course, you'll then have to do it, 'cause reading won't convince
you. Then get thee to the nearest track school to refine your technique. I
highly recommend California Superbike School, but choose for yourself.
For what it's worth, I think the stock Bridgestones aren't up to the
power of the ST (the rear slides too easily) and the forks need to be much
stiffer, but you'll fix a lot more handling problems with good cornering
technique than any amount of equipment upgrades.
