wow -- does it really say that?

"minutes to the -1" is sort of mathematically equivalent to "per minute",
which is i'm sure what they're trying to get at.  so if you were to
think of it as:

             -1
    3  x  min    x 1000

then that's sort of like

    ( 3 / min )  x 1000

or

    (3 x 1000) / min

which is really what they were trying to say.  sure would
have been easier to say:  " x 1000 RPM "
