[ST] Bogged in Beantown, V2.0

I went to the Lars Andersen Museum of Transportation's annual European
motorcycle meet today, in Brookline Massachusetts. Aside from the horrible
cage traffic in the trips in & (especially) out, it was another great day.
So many bikes there, and for once the Eurotrash outnumbered everything else.
(The way it should be!)

Getting cold, but today was the pilot run for my new Gerbing Heated Jacket
Liner and it's "Heatroller". Wow, all I can say is WOW. Why didn't I do this
last year? (Oh yeah, not enough money!) I had added the "Auxilliary Socket"
(the "BMW" plug) to my RS last year and used the Gerbing gloves, but adding
the liner is so much better. I got down to about 46F on my way home, but I
was toasty warm without a lot of bulk. Nice. Together with heated grips,
both sides of my hands remained comfortable.

Back to the show; There was a lot of rare and interesting bikes. One was a
Bonneville America, which looks much better then it's pictures. Also there
were 2002 Daytonas and Tigers, and I must say, that new 955 lump is ugly. I
counted 5 MV Agusta F4's, 2 Ducati MH1000e's, a couple of Laverda Jotas and
one '74(?) Laverda 1200 Mirage with only .8 mile on it. A shame, really.
There were a lot of Meriden Triumphs, BSA's and Norton's, a few Matchless,
AJS, Ariel, Jawa, Vespa, Lambretta, loads of Ducati's of all types and a
bunch more I'm forgetting.

I cannot, however, forget meeting a recently-joined-but-lurking member of
this list. Welcome, Nancy. Nice to see you again, and your friends. You
certainly do have excellent taste in motorcycles! There were no Sprint ST's
that I noticed, though surely some were there somewhere. I did spot one
other yellow Sprint RS besides mine and Nancy's. Was that one with the
topbox anyone on this lists?

Watch for our next NY Diner Ride-in event, scheduled for 10/21! Hope to see
lotsa ST/RS riders from New England and NY show up for this!.

Ken M.
