My '01 came with BT57s also.

Put a 207 on the back after 4500 miles and loved it.

Shagged the tires rotten out at Eastern Rallye and the Dragon. (Thanks Steve
and Chris, hell of a ride :))

At 11,500 put on a new set of 207s.  That's 7000 on the rear for the 207.
Not sure why the rear BT57 didn't last as long.  Maybe because I was getting
used to the rear brake and sliding more then than now.  The front 207 turns
in much faster than 57 and took some time getting used to, but I've gotten
used to it and I am impressed.  Only thing I can complain about is that the
front does 'hunt' around a little tracking strait and now I need to pay more
attention to my line.

IIRC my '01 did as well. But they are long gone, second 205 on the rear
and soon to be my second 207 on the front.
